Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Kyoto Ryokan Hirashin was truly authentic and enjoyable. The traditional Ryokan style with tatami mats and futons added a unique touch to the experience. The service was excellent with staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was superb, close to Nishiki Market and convenient for exploring the city. Although the dining experience was not as expected, the hotel overall offered great value for money.
The hotel was a delightful Japanese-style retreat with spacious and clean rooms, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Kyoto. The staff went above and beyond to recommend cherry blossom viewing spots, adding a personal touch to our stay. The atmosphere was genuinely Japanese and aesthetically pleasing, making it a memorable experience overall.
Staying in our parents' room at this hotel was a delightful change from western beds, with personal welcoming touches. It gives off more of a business hotel vibe with Japanese room touches, which was a nice touch. However, it feels more like a motel with a 'ryokanlike' feel rather than a traditional ryokan.
Staying at this hotel was a great experience! The rooms were ready earlier than expected, spacious, and even surprised us with extra beds. The service was excellent, especially considering we didn't speak Japanese. The location couldn't have been better, close to all the key spots in Kyoto. The dining options were diverse, although slightly different from what we expected.
